Palamos, Spain (27 – 29 of May 2017)

As suggested by the local Spanish partners the sessions were adapted to the context of Palamos and changed slightly in relation to what was initially planned. We did two outdoor sessions and a stakeholders meeting with: fishermen (5), environmental association (1), scientist (1), and fisherman-student (1).

From the outdoor sessions next to the market, we were able to capture the perception of the people regarding the best practices related to fisheries activities and the challenges they think the fisheries sector faces. Both locals and tourists participated in this activity.

The stakeholder's session was also a very rich one since in Palamós they have been going through this process of dialogue for quite a while now and the participants were interested in contributing to the study and aware of the challenges they have ahead regarding fishery activity.
